Course Overview

In addition to specialist knowledge, you will learn creativity and leadership techniques in the human resource management degree and can put your knowledge to the test in a real consulting project. The practical phase gives you enough leeway to gain work experience and make contacts in the business.

Constantly new trends, such as new work concepts or people analytics, always present HR managers with new challenges. The MA Human Resources Management & Digital Transformation fulfills the requirements for future-oriented training. You will acquire specific specialist knowledge in areas such as human resources, new work, or employer branding.

In addition, you will spend the third semester at one of our partner universities abroad. Your studies will end with your practice-oriented master's thesis in the fourth semester.

Entry Requirement 

Evidence is required for admission to the course:

  • A successfully completed bachelor's degree in economics, which comprises at least 180 ECTS points, or an equivalent degree at a university or technical college or a foreign university of the corresponding rank and
  • The submission of the application documents and
  • Participation in a multi-level entrance test (written and oral) required.

In the MA Human Resources Management & Digital Transformation, the first degree must have been completed in an economics course. Alternatively, successfully completed examinations at Bachelor level or higher with at least 30 ECTS points in the fields of economics, sociology or psychology must have been achieved. Missing subject-specific ECTS can be replaced by professional experience in human resources, organizational development, or HR consulting.

If you have not studied a bachelor's degree in economics or if your quantitative ECTS points are insufficient, you can prepare for the management course with the pre-masters degree at ISM.

Applicants who need a visa for Germany and do not yet have a (student) visa must apply by the following date of the respective year:

Winter semester: until July 15th

Fees

6180 Euros per semester (1st - 3rd semester) in Cologne and Stuttgart
6480 Euros per semester (1st - 3rd semester) in Hamburg monthly payment also possible

Enrollment fee (EU & EEA students): 600 Euros

Enrollment fee (non-EU students): 1500 Euros

Thesis fee (4th semester): 1200 Euros at all campuses
