Course Overview

Programme Objectives (PO)

 The objectives of the programme are to:

  1. produce professionals with advanced knowledge, highly-skilled, versatile and equipped with a competitive advantage in the field of computer science as a catalyst to research, development and innovation to fulfil the current prospects;
  2. produce professional human capital who are sensitive to the ever-changing demands of the computer science environment as well as skilled in solving problems creatively, innovatively and ethically;
  3. build professional cooperative networks with local and global organisations and communities in dealing with issues and problems in computer science.

Learning Outcomes (LO)

At the end of the programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Apply and integrate knowledge on current research issues in computing and produce tasks that precede the development of the program study domain;
  2. Evaluate and analyse computing solutions in terms of their usability, efficiency and effectiveness;
  3. Develop computing solutions and use appropriate tools to analyse their performance;
  4. Apply existing research techniques and queries to acquire, translate and expand knowledge in computing;
  5. Communicate and play a proactive role in a group;
  6. Prepare, publish and present technical materials to a diverse audience; and
  7. Demonstrate consistent behaviour with professional ethical code and responsibility.

Entry Requirement 

Entrance Requirements:

  • An applicant should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, in computing, science, and technology or related to computing, with a minimum CGPA 2.750; OR
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in computing, science, and technology or related to computing with a CGPA of 2.500 – 2.749 may be considered based on a minimum of 1 year of work experience in the related field; OR
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in computing, science, and technology or related to computing with a CGPA of below 2.500 must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

English Language Requirement:
International applicants must have obtained a minimum score of 550 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version) or Band 6.0 for IELTS (Academic Training), or 79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version) or level 109 for CIEP at ELS Language Centre.
