Course Overview

An active and innovative approach to learning and teaching will be taken.
Students will complete their courses at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), Loughry Campus, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone.

The PgDip presents full-time students with the opportunity to undertake an industry or work-related practical learning project developing business materials in a managerial or supervisory role.

Program content will vary depending on the pathway chosen:
The program consists of six taught modules, five core and an optional module related to the chosen pathway. The five core modules are Skills to affect change within Business, Rural Business dynamics, Integrating Learning with business needs, Research and Development, Planning and evaluating change management programs.

The three modules related to the three pathways are Innovation management for rural business, Rural Enterprise Development and Business Communication.

Entry Requirement 

Graduate:
A 2.2 Honours degree or above or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University in Business/Management Studies, Agriculture, Food Science or Food Technology, Geography or other approved subject.

English Language Requirements:
Evidence of an IELTS* score of 6.5, with not less than 5.5 in any component, or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the University is required. *Taken within the last 2 years.

International students wishing to apply to Queen's University Belfast (and for whom English is not their first language), must be able to demonstrate their proficiency in English in order to benefit fully from their course of study or research. Non-EEA nationals must also satisfy UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) immigration requirements for the English language for visa purposes.
