Course Overview

Our Tourism and Hospitality ResM opportunities help you research and solve a practical problem that is of direct value to your company or your career in events, tourism, hospitality, travel, cruise or heritage interpretation and management, and with our modern languages academics as part of the team, French and Spanish culture and society. 

Your research and practice programme is based on attaining 180 masters-level credits. This comprises a 60-credit module, action research, which updates your skills with the latest methodologies in the field of practice-based research. 

The remaining 120 credits are based on a dissertation (25,000-word equivalent). This will encourage you to consider research and analyze an issue, possibly one current in your workplace or that will take your career to the next stage.

Entry Requirement 

Applicants should hold a degree and have experience of the travel, hotel or heritage industries. You should prepare a written brief of 100 words outlining your main practical project.
