Course Overview

Emerge with an understanding of business, functional operations, and decision processes as they relate to the management of human resources.
In addition to the analytical tools and technologies necessary to solve complex management problems, our MBA program emphasizes leadership skills within Saint Leo University's core values and traditions.

Courses include topics that address:

  • Core business management functions
  • Oral and written business communication
  • Effective team membership and leadership in work partnerships and cross-functional collaborative efforts
  • Ethical, economically responsible business decisions in the context of a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Business implications of the new economy and applying widely used technologies to management issues

Degree Requirements

MBA students take up to two courses per eight-week term. Students can complete the 36 credits required for graduation in as little as one year or may extend their studies for as long as five years. You may start the Saint Leo MBA program at any of the six terms each year, and—with director approval—can pursue up to two MBA concentrations concurrently. BUSINESS CORE (21 CREDITS)

Admission Requirements:

All international candidates for admission must prove English language proficiency by at least one of the following:

  1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - minimum score of 45 iBT
  2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - minimum score of 5.0
  3. Pearson Test of English Academics (PTE A) - minimum score of 35
  4. Successful completion of ELS Level 109
  5. For transfer students, two semesters with grades of B or higher in English composition courses at regionally accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States
  6. Successful completion of a NAFSA-recognized ESL program
  7. Duolingo English Test - minimum score of 75
  8. Students who meet these requirements are eligible for admission to Saint Leo University through the Bridge Program. Undergraduate students will be required to utilize elective credits for English courses and graduate students will be required to take the foundation component of their program. Student’s English Proficiency scores will determine placement into the Bridge program.
  9. Students may be exempt from the Bridge program if English proficiency scores meet or exceeds one of the following: TOEFL 79 iBT (Minimum 19 subscores), IELTS 6.5 (Minimum 6.0 band scores), PTE A 53 (Minimum 52 band scores), ELS Level 112, or Duolingo 105.

    Saint Leo University reserves the right to require a student to take Bridge classes to increase English proficiency in a particular area, regardless of total test scores. Other English language examination results will also be considered, and experience studying in the English language, as documented through school transcripts, will be taken into consideration.
