About Queens University Belfast

Queen’s University Belfast is a dynamic and innovative 21st-century institution. Part of the Russell Group – one of the UK’s 24 elite research-intensive universities – it is ranked =38th in the UK (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019) and amongst the top 200 universities worldwide (QS World University Rankings 2019).

Founded in 1845 by Queen Victoria – making it the ninth oldest university in the UK – Queen’s University Belfast has a long-standing reputation for excellence, ranking in the top 25 universities in the UK for graduate prospects (QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2017). The Centre, located within walking distance of both the University campus and Elms Village student accommodation, provides an innovative learning environment for international students studying on the pre-university academic programmes or English language courses.

Students are offered university-style teaching, including lectures, seminars and tutorials, and a supported e-learning environment dedicated to the welfare of students. Located within two Georgian houses, the centre has been renovated to the highest standard.
