Course Overview

As a conversion course, this master’s degree is well suited to students from diverse academic backgrounds. The course will help you to develop sought-after digital skills and prepare you for a range of careers after graduation.

Students are also able to tailor the course to their own personal career ambitions through a research project. Many use this piece of work to springboard the start of their career or a further research study.

Students are supported to gain a range of transferable skills throughout the course. These include project management, critical thinking, organisation, and presentation skills. The professional issues and practice module helps prepare students for the workplace by looking at the wider computing industry and the contexts in which digital skills can be used most effectively.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

Honours degree at 2:2 or higher in any discipline, or extensive industrial experience in this area.

  • Applicants should be able to show an interest in learning web design and development technologies.

English Language Requirements:

Applicants who do not have English as their first language will be required to demonstrate an approved level of proficiency in the use of the English language. The agreed minimum requirements for this course are:

  • IELTS minimum 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in reading, listening and speaking
  • TOEFL IBT 92 with a minimum of 22 in writing and a minimum of 19 in reading, listening and speaking
  • Duolingo English Language Test - 110 overall with a minimum 90 in each component
  • or equivalent.

Qualifications are checked before enrolment, and international students must bring their original certificates or certified copies when coming to study at the University.

The University also offers a pre-sessional English programme for international students who wish to improve their level of English before starting a degree course.

Fees

UK and EU full-time fees: £8700 per year

International full-time fees: £14300 per year
