Course Overview

The programme philosophy is to develop this knowledge and understanding of the specialist area of supply chain management, whilst placing it firmly within an organisational context. The key specialist modules are resultant from both academic and professional influence as to strategic change factors within the global supply process.

The MSc in Global Logistics, Operations, and Supply Chain Management has been designed to enable you to acquire an in-depth understanding of the major areas of knowledge and philosophical approaches that underpin the concept of the Global Supply Process.  The programme philosophy is to develop this knowledge and understanding of the specialist area of supply chain management, whilst placing it firmly within an organisational context.

The programme will facilitate the development of a critical appreciation and reflection of contemporary global supply chain process issues as well as provide opportunities to challenge established approaches to management and emerging paradigms (e.g. Sustainable Supply Chains), whilst enabling you to reflect upon your own personal development. The approach adopted to linking particular specialisms with general management theory and personal development is seen as major development need within the specialist management of Global Supply.

Entry Requirement 

 

Academic Requirements:

  • A first degree, equivalent to a 2.2 honours classification in any discipline, although they may cover Business and Management, Operations Management, Engineering or Transportation

If you don’t meet the academic requirements

  • Applicants who do not have such an academic qualification but do have substantial experience of working in a business organisation and/or possess a relevant professional qualification will also be considered

Whilst you are welcome to apply because of your relevant work experience, you must have a clear commitment to a professional career that comprises one of the areas of logistics, operations management, or supply chain management.

English Language Requirements:

Students require IELTS 6.5 (or above) with no single element below 6.0 or equivalent.

If you have IELTS 5.5 – 6.0, you may be eligible to join our Pre-Sessional English before starting this programme.

Note:

Please note that your tuition fees do not include the cost of course books that you may choose to purchase stationery printing and photocopying accommodation living expenses travel or any other extracurricular activities. As a Northumbria University London Campus student you will have full access to our online digital library with over 400000 e-books and 50000 electronic journals.

The modules you will study do not require you to purchase additional textbooks although we recommend you allow an additional £100 for the duration of your studies should you choose to purchase any additional reading materials.
