Course Overview

Our Master of Information Technology (12 subjects) is designed for students who already have a bachelor's degree, or the Graduate Diploma of IT as well as either an associate degree or three year's relevant work experience. If you don't have the relevant experience, find out about our 16-subject Master of Information Technology. This is a two-year course accredited by the Australian Computer Society, in which you will study 12 subjects, covering topics such as project management, ethics, database systems and computer organisation and architecture.

What will you study?

You will study 12 subjects as part of your course:
  • 4 core subjects, plus
  • 8 elective subjects (which can be one or more 4-subject specialisations).

Entry Requirement 

You'll need an Australian bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent bachelor’s degree from another country, to enrol on one of our postgraduate courses.
Course Postgraduate entry requirement
Master of Animal Science Hold an AQF Level 7 bachelor’s qualification with a major in a relevant discipline^, or hold an AQF Level 8 graduate diploma qualification in a relevant discipline^. ^ Relevant disciplines include, but are not restricted to, general science, animal or veterinary sciences, agricultural science or biomedical science.
Master of Customs Administration Hold a completed Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider.
Master of Information Technology (with specialisations) (12 subjects) For admission to the Master of Information Technology (12 subjects) applicants must have a bachelor’s level degree.
Master of Ministry A completed Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider.
Master of Professional Accounting (12 subjects) For entry to the Master of Professional Accounting (12 subjects) applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent). The undergraduate degree must be in a field other than accounting, or not recognised by the Australian accounting professional bodies for associate membership.
Master of Sustainable Agriculture A completed bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider.
Master of Theology A completed Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider.

Fees

  • If you’re applying for a postgraduate degree you will need to have an Academic minimum overall score of 6.0. More specifically you will need to have achieved a score of no less than 6.0 in the writing band and no less than 5.5 in all other bands.
