Course Overview

Designed for those wishing to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to their studies and seeking exposure to the widest possible range of business disciplines, our Master’s in Management is the first step for you to start an exciting career in business and management.

You do not need to have studied business/management at the undergraduate level.

The aim is to produce fully rounded managers by combining a detailed treatment of subjects concerned with the management of organisations including:

  • Business Economics
  • Marketing Planning and Strategy
  • Strategic Management
  • Operations Management
  • Human Resource Development
  • Global Technology and Innovation Management

In addition, you will have the opportunity to tailor your learning to your own personal interests or planned career path. You can choose from a range of optional modules as part of our extensive postgraduate management portfolio.

Throughout this programme, you will be exposed to real business practice and learn from real-life examples, and our excellent teaching and collaboration with industry will give you an edge with employers.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

You must have a degree (not necessarily in business and management) from an approved university.

The usual entry requirement is: a UK 2:2 degree or its equivalent in any discipline from an approved higher education institution.

Equivalent professional qualifications will also be eligible if supported with appropriate practical experience.

Applications are welcome from students with non-standard qualifications or mature students (those over 21 years of age on entry) with significant relevant experience.

English Language Requirements: 

If we need evidence of your proficiency in English, you will be required to achieve the following minimum scores in one of these recognised tests:

IELTS: 5.5 overall, with no sub-test below 5.0, and successful completion of an additional six week English pre-sessional course taught by the University of Bradford, which must be completed prior to the start of the course; or

IELTS: 6.0 overall, with no sub-test less than 5.5; or 

Internet-based TOEFL: 80 overall, with minimum scores of Listening 17, Reading 18, Speaking 20, Writing 17); or 

PTE-A (Pearson Test of English-Academic): 55 overall, with no sub-test less than 51.

Candidates who are not citizens of the European Union will also be subject to further requirements imposed by the government for the issue of a student visa.

Exceptionally, holders of a UK degree awarded within 2 years prior to entry to the Bradford programme may be exempt from these English test requirements.

If you do not meet the IELTS requirement, you can take a University of Bradford pre-sessional English course.
