Course Overview

The course features core management modules covering areas such as leadership, strategy, organizational behavior and accounting together with skills vital to healthcare managers around managing clinical professionals and quality and safety.

This degree will equip you with the skills to critically evaluate the published literature on healthcare management and to synthesize the range of issues and perspectives which inform research and practice in the field. It will also develop your practical transferable skills including the ability to conduct independent research. You will have the opportunity to develop the expertise and knowledge to manage competently, capably, and ethically.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

A medical degree or a degree in a closely related subject at 2.1 or above from a recognized institution.

Intercalating medical students: you will need to be in the 9th decile or above of your degree.

English Language Requirements:

IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If your first language is not English, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.
