Course Overview

This course explores how to manage effectively in increasingly global work environments. You will develop a strong understanding of the global supply chain, as well as how organizations within it perform in relation to one another. An experience-based module also gives you the opportunity to work abroad, developing skills and experience of operating in an overseas context.

During your studies, you will focus on international value chains and cross-cultural management issues, consider how organizations capture value through new products and services and deliver value through international operations and supply chains. In addition, you will study how cultural, linguistic and physical barriers affect organizations and how, in turn, organizations respond in order to adapt to those barriers. You will then have the opportunity to take part in a business case for ‘going global’ over a period of four weeks including spending one of those weeks abroad.
