Course Overview

Providing world-class post-graduate qualifications for professionals who aspire to be leaders and successful managers in their fields, the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program at AUD is an integrated program promoting strategic thinking, ethical values, social responsibility, and cultural diversity.

The graduate-level, 36-hour credit program encompasses 12 courses consisting of nine core courses and three elective courses. Students can opt for the Generalist M.B.A. or elect for a concentration in Finance, Management or Marketing.

Upon completion of the Master of Business Administration. (M.B.A.) the program, students will have acquired:

  • A broad understanding of the conceptual foundations of the functional disciplines of business and of their applications
  • An ability to identify, analyze and propose solutions to business problems across a wide range of functional areas
  • A profound understanding of the conceptual foundations of their selected functional area (for students completing a concentration) and an ability to investigate and formulate recommendations for managerial decision problems and policy issues in that area.
  • An ability to use quantitative and qualitative research techniques skillfully to assess the functional and overall performance of business organizations.
  • An ability to use business communication and presentation skills effectively and persuasively, both orally and in writing.
  • A global perspective and an understanding of the international environment of business.
  • An understanding of the ethical and social ramifications of business decisions.

Entry Requirement 

Admission Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited national or regional institutional body, achieving a 3.00 GPA or better in undergraduate study.
  • International TOEFL®or Academic IELTSTM or the equivalent score on another internationally-recognized English exam. PBT is accepted from specific centers in the UAE.

English Language Requirements:

All students must achieve a TOEFL® score of 550 (79 IBT) or Academic IELTS score of 6.5 or an equivalent score in a test approved by the U.A.E. MOE-HEA. The University’s TOEFL® code is 0063.

  • A native speaker of English who has completed his or her undergraduate education in English medium institution in a country where English is the official language
  • A student who has completed his or her undergraduate education in an American Accredited institution.
  • A student admitted to and graduated from an English medium institution who can provide evidence of having achieved (upon admission to the undergraduate program) a TOEFL® score of 500 or Academic IELTSTM score of 6.0 or its standardized equivalent approved by the U.A.E. Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs (MOE-HEA).

Fees

Non-refundable application fee of AED 420. A reservation deposit (non-refundable) of AED 2000 which is fully applied toward tuition is required upon acceptance for admission.
