Course Overview

At the heart of this course is a focus on the knowledge and techniques for video game programming. You will also acquire a strong skill set in computer applications, information systems, databases, and systems infrastructure, which will ensure your employability across a range of industry roles.

  • We have modules built upon Unreal Engine 4 and Unity game engine technology, allowing you to program games for a variety of platforms and we are already planning for the integration of Unreal Engine 5 in 2021
  • You will develop applications for Virtual Reality, with access to cutting-edge technology including the Vive Pro Eye, Reverb G2, and a substantial number of Oculus Quest and Quest 2 Headsets available to be loaned for home use.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

  • A-levels – BBB including an IT, Maths or Science subject; or
  • 120 UCAS Tariff points from three A-levels or equivalent qualifications, including an A-level grade B equivalent in an IT, Maths or a Science subject; or
  • BTEC Extended Diploma grades DDM (including relevant IT, Maths, or Science modules); and
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C/4.

English Language Requirements:

If English is not your first language you need to show us that your language skills are strong enough for intensive academic study. We usually ask for an IELTS test and we accept some alternative English language tests.
