Course Overview

The most important contribution of the science of psychology in our daily life is that it enables us to explain both mental and behavioral processes using models and theories, to examine their circumstances and conditions, and thereby predict developments and initiate responses.

Program Aim and Outcomes

FIU Psychology Undergraduate Program Graduates are expected to be able to :

  • Apply their knowledge of psychology in other fields.
  • Observe and understand the cognitive, sensory and behavioral movements of people and analyse and intervene as required.
  • Apply the measurement tools used in psychology, and interpret results.
  • Conduct research in the field of psychology and work in and outside of the discipline.
  • Follow and apply innovations in the field by following international and national literature.
  • Observe the principles of the psychology profession and display a sense of ethical responsibility.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Psychology Undergraduate Program can be employed at all levels of higher education in private or publicly affiliated educational institutions, in the private sector, in human resources units, in advisory centers, in hospitals, and in private or public establishments providing psychology services.
