Course Overview

This foundation degree takes a more vocational approach to learn than the BSc (Hons) degree, with an increased emphasis on development and learning through practical experiences.

Fieldwork

You will have the opportunity to help with projects such as:

  • Great crested newt surveying
  • Bird ringing
  • Small mammal trapping.

Alongside day trips to observe wildlife in the field, you'll spend a week in your final year at a wildlife site in England, looking at the management issues faced there.

English Language Requirements:

If English is not your first language you need to show us that your language skills are strong enough for intensive academic study. We usually ask for an IELTS test and we accept some alternative English language tests.
