They will be able to create custom commercial software for customers to sell. They will also be able to create programs that people use over the Internet and within a company’s intranet.
Upon completion of the Information Technology Bachelor Degree Program with a concentration in Software Development, students may seek employment in business, government, or a variety of industries.

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Software Development provides students with the ability to become developers of software applications and computer applications, such as word processors and games. They will be able to create custom commercial software for customers to sell. They will also be able to create programs that people use over the Internet and within a company’s intranet.
The Information Technology degree program gives students an understanding of the importance of information systems as a management tool in the planning, control, and decision-making activities of the organization.
The program of study introduces students to the concepts and methods of analyzing, designing, planning, and managing simple or complex information systems.

Entry Requirement 

Admissions Requirements

Official transcripts and any other documentation must be forwarded directly to the Atlantis University by the granting institution.
Applicants to the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program at Atlantis University must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have written permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Complete an in-person or phone interview with Admissions Department.
  • Provide a copy of their high school diploma or GED (or the equivalent in their country).
  • Translate documents from non-English speaking countries into English.
  • Provide an official transcript from other accredited postsecondary schools if seeking transfer credits.
  • Show evidence of English proficiency if a student’s primary language is not English. This can be done through the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Please see the Admissions Department for more information.
