Immersive technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, immersive audio and mixed reality now allow us to take traditional 2D experiences further by putting us inside incredible virtual environments, or by blending the real world with augmented digital content. 

Learn how to create content for this exciting new form of media and contribute to the way we will communicate, work and play in the future.

Academic Requirements:

UCAS tariff

96 - 112

From a minimum of two A levels.

GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.

International Baccalaureate: 28 points overall.

Other: Applicants are not required to share a portfolio with us, however, doing so may allow us to guarantee you a place or consider applications that do not meet the normal academic requirements. Optional informal interviews are available and take place on Zoom. 

English Language Requirements:

The scores required have been increased from the UKVI minimum specified scores to meet University requirements.

  • IELTS (Academic)
  • Trinity College London ISE (only a SELT if taken in the UK)
  • LanguageCert International ESOL 
  • Pearson PTE Academic

A SELT must be taken at an approved UKVI center.

The other tests and qualifications listed here have been deemed acceptable by the University of Plymouth and UPIC to meet our entry requirements and UKVI requirements for study at RQF 6 and above. 

Please note that these tests and qualifications are not SELTs.

When studying on a pre-sessional course or course below RQF 6, a SELT is a mandatory requirement set by UKVI. 

If studying at RQF 6 level and above, the University is permitted to accept other qualifications that we deem meet UKVI and our requirements.
