Course Overview

You'll gain hands-on practice in film-making and build the technical competencies that are vital for your career. We designed this course to professional industry standards, you'll learn:

  • Film production
  • Film criticism
  • Film history
  • How to apply these techniques and ideas to your own work. 

You can specialize in:

  • Screenwriting
  • production management
  • New media
  • Independent film.

Students can apply for an exclusive year-long paid internship in the film industry between years two and three. In your final year, you can opt to do a work placement or alive, industry-mentored project.

Our established links with the film industry enable students to meet professionals at regular film events.  Our students have worked on productions including Skyfall, Slumdog Millionaire, Inglourious Basterds, Saturday Kitchen, and Downton Abbey.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirement:

6.0 overall with 6.0 in reading and writing, 5.5 in listening and speaking.

English Language Requirements:

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

The entry requirement for your course will be expressed as an IELTS level and refers to the IELTS Academic version of this test. We are now also accepting the IELTS Indicator test.

Entry levels are from IELTS 4.5 overall with 4.0 in all skills.
