Course Overview

Our way of communicating, thinking, and feeling is characterised by digital, interactive and time-based media. Being able to professionally develop and design within this multidisciplinary creative field is one of the most exciting and forward-looking contemporary activities. In the Film + Motion Design course, you will be part of these innovative developments.

 From camera work and sound design, analog stop-motion animation, CGI, and 3D modeling to digital compositing, hybrid film and visual music, the course offers a wide range of creative expression. In this course, you will learn the various methods and techniques of time-based media exclusively from renowned lecturers creative industry. For the realisation of your project ideas, you can use the professional equipment, audio, and video hardware, post-production, and animation software at our university. You also have access to our professional animation and green screen studio. 

We regard our students as creative individuals. We want to foster your individual talents and skills and support you in developing into independent designers and filmmakers. The practice-oriented specialist knowledge and the confidence in a conceptual design you will gain will prepare you for the creative industries. The balanced mix of theory and practice will give you a capacity for reflection that will serve you well in your professional life. During the course of your studies, you will realize both artistic projects and applied projects. You will acquire a sustainable mixture of theoretical and conceptual knowledge and practical experience. In addition, working in small teams, you will gain important experience in the field of communication and project management.

Through the interdisciplinary modular system of the art and design faculty, and the integrated semester abroad or internship, you can actively shape your studies and career path according to your personal preferences. Our students are sustainably prepared to master the constantly changing professional requirements of the creative industry.

Entry Requirement 

To be able to study at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE), you have to fulfill the following requirements:

  • You need to be eligible for studying at an institute of higher education and successfully pass the interview.
  • Proof of sufficient knowledge of English (IELTS — overall band score from 5.5). This is not needed for English native speakers!

  • Important: Matriculation is only possible once all the necessary documents have been turned in, such as references, certified copies, and proof of health insurance.
  • The same requirements apply to international students
  • Credits: 180 ECTS

Fees

EU applicants: 9310 € yearly
Non-EU applicants: 12110 € yearly
