Course Overview

The curriculum is designed to comprehensively meet the requirements of the field of Directing, both academically and practically. The content of the program places special emphasis on Digital Technology and focuses on New Technologies that are constantly evolving and applied in the labor market. Students attend theoretical courses in cinema and media, as well as practical courses in the application of theory in the creation of corresponding projects (writing scripts, short films, filming in studios and physical spaces).

The courses of the study program include the production of short films during the first and second year of studies, as well as the obligatory completion of a short film (Applied Filmmaking Project). The graduate film can participate in international short film festivals in Greece and abroad, providing the opportunity to identify students in the labor market, as well as the opportunity for vocational rehabilitation.

Career prospects

  • They work in television, film, and online productions as assistant directors, production assistants, continuity, in theatrical productions as stage directors, assistant directors, in music and dance performances as creators of the audiovisual parts of the performances, etc.
  • Create their own short, medium, and feature films.
  • Employ in the audiovisual industry in specialties that constitute the directing and production teams.
  • To continue their studies in postgraduate university programs in Greece and abroad.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

The English language requirements for undergraduate (Bachelor) programmes is a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or 6, or equivalent, depending on the programme and year or level of entry. The specific requirements for your chosen programme of study, including individual component scores, are outlined on the programme page.

Admission Requirements:

The program is aimed at graduates of secondary education, who wish to develop professionally in the field of Finance.

  • Other qualifications (if any)
  • Application for Registration of the Metropolitan College
  • The evaluation of the above-supporting documents is completed by the personal interview selection of the candidates.
