Course Overview

All definitions are subject to definer bias. Perhaps the best way for us to deal with this field is to say that it's anything that includes overlap between the fields of biology and physics. The scale for these interactions range from very small (e.g., biochemical dynamics) to large (e.g., do elephants actually run?)

The Biophysics program began in the early 1990s to prepare students for graduate programs at the interface of biology and physics. The program requirements expose students to basic techniques in biology, physics, and mathematics. Students completing this program typically go on to graduate programs in biology, physics, and medical school

Entry Requirement

Biophysics is an interdisciplinary program combining coursework from Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The program is intended to prepare students for graduate study and subsequent careers in Biophysics.
