Course Overview

This course offers a unique balance of creativity and business. You’ll learn the core principles and theories of marketing and business, and develop a creative approach to using them in the real world. You’ll work with live clients in the fashion industry and learn how to use Adobe software to communicate with and influence consumers through digital media.

You will be encouraged to think independently, innovate, experiment and try new ideas to achieve your aspirations. This approach offers the skills you need for a career in fashion Business and marketing, as well as the creative and technical ability to produce original materials for promotion across different media

Teaching

We aim to facilitate an environment that where you feel confident and welcome, an environment that enhances your ability to learn, develop and produce innovative and visionary work.

You will become part of a group of fashion students, and graduates, who are known for their skills, knowledge, professionalism and creative vision. Throughout your course you will be encouraged to think independently, be inspired by various cultural visits, experiment and try new ideas, and above all reach your future career goals and aspirations –_wherever they may take you.

As staff we want to help to facilitate your individual paths, understanding your skills and helping you to apply these to the fullest potential. You will engage with industry, through live briefs and work placements to make your experience of the course as relevant to current and future fashion industry practice.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

The entry criteria below shows the qualification range within which the University will make offers. Most offers we make are at the top of the range, but we take all aspects of an application into consideration and applicants receive a personalised offer. Combinations of qualifications are acceptable and other qualifications not listed here may also be acceptable.

Typical A-Level Offer

BCC - CDD (this is equivalent to 104-80 UCAS tariff points).

Typical Welsh BACC Offer

Pass the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate Diploma with Grade C/D in the Skills Challenge Certificate and BC - CD at A Level (this is equivalent to 104-80 UCAS tariff points).

Typical BTEC Offer

BTEC Extended Diploma Distinction Merit Merit - Merit Merit Pass (this is equivalent to 112-80 UCAS tariff points).

Typical IB Offer

Pass the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 29 overall including 5 or above in English at standard level

Typical Access to HE Offer

Pass the Access to HE Diploma with a minimum of 80 UCAS tariff points

Additional Requirements

GCSEs: The University normally requires a minimum 5 GCSEs including Mathematics/Numeracy and English at Grade C or Grade 4 or above, or their equivalent, but consideration is given to individual circumstances

Full-time UK:  £9000

Full-time International:  £13500
