The Department of Global Media & Communication Arts prepares students to use modern media communication arts to serve the artistic, cultural, educational, and informational needs of contemporary society. The program involves both critical theory and creative practice, leading to media content production, circulation, and performance as well as the creation of various business opportunities within the new era of “digital technology convergence.”

Students are expected to work successfully in both critical theory courses and production activities. Graduates of the program will be prepared for employment opportunities locally and globally in the broadcasting, film and various other entertainment industries, in cable and online media, in video and audio production, and other areas related to global media and the cultural industries. Our graduates stand out worldwide as quality professionals in the “Korean Wave” as industry experts, performers, and marketers.
