Course Overview

You will be provided with a wide range of performance opportunities underpinned by practical training and critical thinking and analysis. Subjects include Acting and Directing, Key Theatre Practitioners, Shakespeare in Performance, Drama and Theatre in Education, Key Theatre Practices, Drama in Context, Group Performance Project, Applied Theatre and Drama, Creative Entrepreneurship and Honours Study

You will have opportunities to work closely with the industry through a series of specialized workshops.  In the past, students have had the opportunity to work with theatre, film and television companies, artistic and casting directors such as Vox Motus, The Tron Theatre, Citizens Theatre, Fire Exit, Magnetic North.

Entry Requirement 

Direct Entry: HND Acting and Performance or equivalent.Higher English is strongly recommended.

English Language Requirements: IELTS of 6.5 with no element lower than 6.0 

Auditions: There will be an audition that will involve both practical and academic activities to enable a realistic assessment of your suitability for the course.

Mandatory Bridging Course: Students will be required to complete a pre-entry, intensively taught two week bridging course prior to the BA (Hons) programme start date. This course will take place in mid- June, exact dates will be confirmed. This is a significant course designed specifically to enable students to bridge any gaps in learning and prepare them for University study prior to the degree starting.
