Course Overview

In marketing, you will learn to identify, understand and satisfy the needs of consumers and organizations. Our curriculum teaches you to see the "big picture" of the overall marketing process while you learn about specialized marketing activities such as advertising, product development and sales.

We've created an academic environment where students can live out the University's ideal — to learn, lead and serve. It's a commitment that resonates throughout our department.

All three of our majors embrace a theory-to-practice orientation that includes hands-on, required capstone courses involving projects with real organizations. Our department offers majors and minors in entrepreneurship, leadership and marketing. Majors in marketing can also earn an emphasis in sales management — a highly sought skill as almost two of every three marketing majors land their first jobs in a sales-related field.
