Course Overview

You will make use of our excellent contemporary and traditional facilities to produce challenging modern artworks.

We will introduce you to a range of practices that link traditional skills and approaches with alternative media such as sound, video, and installation. You will develop imaginative and informed fine art practice and the ability to analyse and discuss contemporary art.

Our Professional Practice module will help to strengthen your practical and professional skills, preparing you for employment, further study, or self-employment. 

Many of our graduates work as self-employed artists. Others go on to careers in:

  • Teaching
  • Arts administration
  • Art therapy
  • Journalism
  • Other roles in the creative industries.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirement:

6.0 overall with 6.0 in reading and writing, 5.5 in listening and speaking.

English Language Requirements:

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

The entry requirement for your course will be expressed as an IELTS level and refers to the IELTS Academic version of this test. We are now also accepting the IELTS Indicator test.

Entry levels are from IELTS 4.5 overall with 4.0 in all skills.
