Course Overview

Students will study accounting, business law, auditing, and financial management as well as key business fundamentals that prepare them well to succeed in the global marketplace. Internship opportunities at the end of each academic year will also provide valuable exposure to real-world practices.

UCSI Foundation Year

CGPA 2.5 and credit in Mathematics at SPM Level

STPM

Pass with C+ (CGPA 2.33) in any two subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level

A-Level

2 D grades

UEC

5 credits (B6) including Mathematics and a pass in English

National Matriculation

CGPA 2.5 inclusive of credit in Mathematics at SPM

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Minimum score of 26/42 points in 6 subjects

AUSMAT/ HSC/SACE/TEE/WACE

Minimum average of 60% in 5 subjects

High School Certificate

Minimum average of 60%

High / Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) / Canadian Grade 12 – according to provinces in Canada

Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects

Canadian Pre-University (CPU)
Canadian International Matriculation (CIMP)

English Language Requirements:

For local student:

  • A distinction (A+, A, or A-) in the English Language subject at SPM/UEC level. If the English Language requirement is not met, the student may be required to take an additional English module(s) prior to or concurrently with the undergraduate program based on the University’s decision.

For international student:

  • IELTS minimum Band 5.5
  • TOEFL  (Internet-based) minimum 46
  • Cambridge English Qualification and Test minimum score of 160
  • Pearson Test of English minimum score 51
  • MUET minimum Band 3

International applicants who do not meet the respective academic programme’s English Language Requirements will need to improve their proficiency by enrolling on the English for Tertiary Education programme (R/KJP/00920-00929).

Placement into the various levels of English for Tertiary Education programme depends on the English Language qualification students have at the point of admission and/or the outcome of the English Placement Test.

The applicants who have met the respective academic programme’s English Language Requirement may be advised by Faculty to improve their proficiency by undertaking additional English proficiency courses.
