Course Overview

Money is a part of modern society on every imaginable level. Individuals, families, small companies, large corporations, nonprofit organizations and governments must be able to manage their finances. Our finance program prepares you to raise money, manage debt and invest your assets. You will work diligently to understand the financing of business enterprises: the financial decision making process, how financial markets function, and the acquisition and management of capital.

Outstanding teaching, a curriculum relevant to contemporary business, integrating theory into practice, students working closely with faculty, a great track record in placing graduates - these are just a few of the things that characterize the Department of Economics and Finance. We offer undergraduate majors in finance and business economics in the School of Business Administration, and we also offer an economics major and an applied mathematical economics major in the College of Arts and Sciences.
