Course Overview

This course will allow you to top up your existing qualifications to an honours degree in one year while benefiting from all that Northumbria University has to offer.

The course includes specialist modules that cover financial reporting analysis, strategic management accounting, and international financial management. The course provides an excellent foundation for jobs in finance, banking, government, and general business leadership.

The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance degree, through a year of study in both core and specialist topics, builds to give you the Northumbria Graduate attributes. Throughout the year, you will become knowledgeable about the theory and practice of responsible business and management in an international context. This knowledge will be fostered through the identification of contemporary professional accounting and finance practice in discipline-specific modules, and cultivate an awareness of the cultural and ethical contexts within which international accounting and finance operate through problem-based learning approaches.
