Course Overview

By the end of the 4-year International Trade and Business program, and accompanying work experience and internship program, our students will be ready for employment in both the private and public sector and will be able to:

  • Demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills, including accurate decision making in the fields of management, human resources, production, public relations, finance, marketing, accounting and auditing.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate and monitor operations within the field of International Trade and Business and within the global economic order.
  • Show basic knowledge of other disciplines (economics, sociology, psychology, numerical sciences, etc.) that underpin International Trade and Business.
  • Solve problems in changing business contexts using analytical and creative approaches, and integrating theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
  • Display innovative, research-based, entrepreneurial competence and social and ethical responsibility.
  • Apply contemporary information technology within the field.
  • Show the willingness and ability to function both in teams and as a leader, along with effective interpersonal skills and high English language competence.
  • Adopt continuous learning as a principle in academic and professional life.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to social responsibility awareness and ethical values ​​in business life and decision-making.
  • Evaluate opportunities and threats in the environment, develop new business ideas, prepare plans for their implementation and show the entrepreneurial skills to implement these plans.

Entry Requirement 

Graduation Requirements

The Bachelor's degree program in International Trade and Business consists of 122-credits (240 total ECTS / 30 ECTS per semester). In order to graduate, students must obtain a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.

ECTS (European Credit Transfer System)

FIU ECTS values are based on the equivalence of 1 ECTS credit to 25 hours of study in class, at home or on holiday to meet program requirements. During a calendar year, a student must therefore work for a total of 1500 hours in class, at home or on holiday to meet program requirements.

Diploma

The FIU BA  in International Trade and Business is awarded to the graduates of the program.
