Course Overview

Suffolk University's Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE) program is the first of its kind in the Boston area. An interdisciplinary major that draws from three academic departments, PPE will give you a foundation in policy, ethics, and economics.

PPE students gain knowledge and skills from all three disciplines; develop their ability to argue and write with clarity, style, and precision; and learn to synthesize and evaluate information.

Because of the interdisciplinary nature of this major, you can tailor your studies to align with your interests and goals. Interested in working internationally? You can choose classes on human rights or international economics. Want to attend law school? You can take classes on the American legal system or the philosophy of law. In a capstone course during your senior year, you’ll bring together everything you've learned at a sophisticated level and apply it to current social problems.
