Course Overview

What you will study

The Postgraduate Certificate Leadership and Management is based on two modules:

Developing People - 30 credits
This module takes as its focus the strategies leaders use to develop people at all levels in the education sector, and engages with a variety of leadership and management theories and approaches.

Developing Learning - 30 credits
The Developing Learning module critically examines a range of key educational issues from a leadership perspective.

Teaching

The course is delivered through a series of lectures (10 per module) over two semesters. The lectures are designed to encourage interactive participation, to allow students to share their diverse perspectives and experiences. In addition, students are expected to use the library resources to explore in more detail the range of theories, policies and practical applications discussed.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

You should be a graduate or, if you’re a non-graduate, you will need relevant experience.

The course welcomes international applicants and requires an English level of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent.
