You'll learn about the specific needs and conditions of children or young people with SEND, including how to approach intervention in a way that balances the needs of the various stakeholders involved. You'll look at the ideologies, values, and evidence that lie behind educational policies and frameworks and how these are implemented in practice. You'll also explore how they impact on individuals, groups, and different parts of the educational system allowing you to see your role, and that of others, within the widest possible context.
