Course Overview

You enhance your skills to work in the animated film and TV industry as a 3D artist, animator, stop-motion artist, model maker and compositor in animation. This course includes an optional work placement year, at no extra cost.

MArt (Hons) 2D Animation and Stop Motions equips you with production skills needed for a career in the industry and focuses on the development of a short animated film to enable you to find your voice as a filmmaker. You focus on sophisticated theoretical concepts and approaches to film analysis along with writing and designing your own film ready for production, leaving the course with a festival-ready short film.

You benefit from a state-of-the-art learning environment, taking advantage of specialist studios and bring new technologies and skills together in 2D animation and stop-motion animation.

Entry Requirement 

Admission Requirements:

Year 1 entry
112-128 UCAS points from any combination of recognised Level 3 qualifications

You will be required to provide a portfolio of work to support your application.

As a minimum, you would normally need a pass in at least two A levels, or equivalent level 3 qualifications. You may also need GCSE passes at grade 4 (or C) or above, or other levels 2 qualifications.

Higher National Diplomas (HNDs)

As a minimum, you would normally need a pass in at least one A level, or equivalent level 3 qualifications. You may also need GCS

The final year is discounted from £9250 to £6695

Fee for International applicants
£13000 a year
