Course Overview

We can teach you about cancer biomarker discovery, cancer immunology, signal transduction, and cancer treatment, to help you prepare for a career in academia, research, industry, or government.

To treat people effectively, it's important that you have an in-depth understanding of the molecular development and progression of cancer, and we want you to work to create strategies that identify cancer vulnerabilities. That's why your curriculum will include lab rotations, journal clubs, and advanced writing courses, as well as a variety of focused lectures. In fact, your courses will offer you the ability to gain an integrated knowledge of the cellular and molecular basis of cancer development and progression, analysis of large molecular data, as well as instruction on how to design novel treatment approaches. Finally, we're going to give you the opportunity to work with leading investigators in tumor micro-environment, metastasis, cancer genetics, stem cells, gene therapy of cancer, pharmacology/toxicology, signaling, and tumor immunology. In other words, we want to give you as many tools as possible to beat this terrible disease.
