Course Overview

In our master's program we can teach you the ecology, physiology, genetics, and everything else you need to know about living things to prepare you for a career in medicine, teaching, forensics, and more.

But, to earn your degree, you first need to figure out your specialty. So, we're going to see what your interests and goals are, then pick specific courses that fit you best. We can also use that knowledge to help you choose between two plans. Plan 1 (thesis option) requires 24 semester hours of graduate work and six hours of thesis work. At the end, you'll present your thesis with original research. Plan II (non-thesis option) requires 30 semester hours of coursework. We'll make sure you have insight into the techniques of problem posing and solving. In fact, one of your requirements will be to prepare a written report. Finally, no matter which plan you choose, you'll need to either deliver a formal course lecture or conduct an instructional lab in order to finish the program.
