Course Overview

You'll develop an advanced approach to research methods so you can apply your knowledge and understanding of the continually changing issues related to structural engineering and materials. Through explorations of the environmental, technical, and sustainability aspects of civil engineering and building construction, you'll gain awareness, understanding of, and competence in, the design, management, and construction of structures.

What you'll study?

Our MSc Structural Engineering with Materials course concentrates on the civil engineering, structural, and management aspects of construction, as well as environmental problems affecting construction projects. You’ll gain awareness, and understanding of, and competence in, the design, management, construction, and renovation of structures.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

  • 2:2 honors degree in civil engineering or an appropriate built environment subject area.

English Language Requirements:

If English is not your first language you need to show us that your language skills are strong enough for intensive academic study. We usually ask for an IELTS test and we accept some alternative English language tests.
