Course Overview

You will learn to develop strategies, plan cross-media campaigns, use marketing analytics to derive suitable measures from large data sets, and use new marketing instruments such as chatbots, voice search, and podcasts in a meaningful way. In addition, as a future digital marketeer / online marketing manager, you will deepen your knowledge in the following areas:

  • Consumer/user behavior
  • Social media & community management
  • Influencer Marketing
  • Search engine optimization
  • Messenger Marketing
  • Content management
  • Digital project management

Constant developments such as Web 3.0 pose new challenges for online marketing managers. The online marketing course fulfills the requirements for future-oriented training. You will acquire specific specialist knowledge, e.g. in the areas of digital marketing strategy, content and cross-media marketing, as well as marketing analytics and search engine optimization (SEO). You will also get to know and apply trending topics such as audio marketing and messenger marketing

You will study the first two semesters at our modern locations in Cologne or Stuttgart before you spend the third semester at one of our partner universities abroad. In the fourth semester, the focus is on preparing your practice-oriented master's thesis.

Entry Requirement 

Evidence is required for admission to the course:

  • A successfully completed bachelor's degree comprising at least 180 ECTS points, or
  • An equivalent course of study at a university or technical college or a foreign university of the appropriate rank and,
  • The submission of the application documents and,
  • Participation in a multi-level entrance test (written and oral) required.

Examinations must have been completed in one of the following subject areas:

  • Economics degree OR
  • At least 30 ECTS points from the fields of economics, marketing, PR, or market research.

Missing subject-specific ECTS points can be replaced by qualified professional experience or corresponding internships.

If you have not studied a bachelor's degree in economics or if your quantitative ECTS points are insufficient, you can prepare for management studies with the pre-masters degree from ISM.

Fees

6180 Euros per semester (1st - 3rd semester) in Cologne and Stuttgart monthly payment also possible

Enrollment fee (EU & EEA students): 600 Euros

Enrollment fee (non-EU students): 1500 Euros

Thesis fee (4th semester): 1200 Euros
