Course Overview

Our society is becoming more mobile: Terms like “space” and “distance” are undergoing a fundamental transformation thanks to digital media. Today, there’s a whole sector of industry devoted to communicating and producing information, brands, and experiences in media spaces.

The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) provides you with the skills to transform communication within virtual and physical spaces into inspiring and lasting experiences. In the Media Spaces master’s programme, you’ll learn how to analyze and locate spatial, moving, and non-linear forms of expression and how to apply them to your own spatial concepts. You’ll be in the perfect position to develop a complex and advanced design and technological solutions for challenges of a multi-disciplinary nature thanks to the sound media competence you’ll have as a graduate.

You will be taught by renowned lecturers from the creative industry and study at a campus that is centrally located, equipped with the latest technology (photo studio, VR equipment, print & scan lab, MacPools, etc.) and that is known for its international and English-speaking character.

Entry Requirement 

  • Proof of a completed university degree qualifying you for a professional career in art, design, or media-based area of business[1] (bachelor’s or master’s degree from a university, university of applied sciences, or equivalent university in Germany or abroad); and the appropriate bachelor’s degree for which you have gained at least 210 credits in line with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)[2].
  • Proof of sufficient knowledge of English (IELTS — overall band score from 5.5). This is not needed for applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree or profession-qualifying university degree in the English language.
  • The same requirements apply to international students
  1. Degrees in the subjects of Digital Media, Information Technology, Design, Communication Design, Media Technology, Media Science, Architecture, Interior Design, Set Design, or related subjects are suitable.
  2. You can also be accepted for the master’s degree programme if you have completed your bachelor’s degree with 180 credits. The remaining 30 credits can be gained by the end of the first semester of your master’s degree programme, or as an extra semester prior to starting the programme. 
  3. Credits: 90 ECTS

Fees

EU applicants: 11400 € yearly
Non-EU applicants: 12600 € yearly
