Course Overview

Created in close consultation with senior marketing professionals and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), our MSc Advertising and Marketing Communications degree will prepare you for the dynamic world of marketing communications, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make your mark.

Through contemporary case studies and applied projects, you will be introduced to the principles of communications, marketing, and consumer behavior and develop a comprehensive knowledge of advertising and communications theory and management in global settings. In your third semester, you will choose an experiential project. With the opportunity to use your skills in a real-world setting, you can choose from completing a consultancy experience project, an internship experience project, or a business research project.

Designed for aspiring communications specialists

This course is aimed at students from a range of backgrounds who don't necessarily have a background in marketing or advertising. Whether you want to work for a creative advertising agency or in-house for major international companies, our MSc Advertising and Marketing Communications degree will ensure you learn the theory, tools, and techniques needed to develop into an effective marketing specialist ready to operate at strategic and tactical levels in the industry.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

  • You will need an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honors degree (2.2 or above).
  • All applicants will be required to demonstrate a commitment to the subject they wish to study and should demonstrate how their chosen program of study will benefit them in their future careers.
  • One academic reference is required.

English Language Requirements:

If English is not your first language you need to show us that your language skills are strong enough for intensive academic study. We usually ask for an IELTS test and we accept some alternative English language tests.

One year (full-time): £10500

Two years (placement year): £11885  (£10500 in Year One and £1385 in Year Two)

International Student Fee

One year (full-time): £17300

Two years (placement year): £18685 (£17300 in Year One and £1385 in Year Two)
