Course Overview

Are you passionate about Japan Studies and looking for a way to transform your knowledge of its culture and language? 

Embarking on a Japanese Studies degree course at Oxford Brookes means you’ll be:

  • Learning all about Japanese history and culture
  • Dissecting the intricacies of interesting topics such as Japanese manga and anime

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirement:

6.0 overall with 6.0 in reading and writing, 5.5 in listening and speaking.

English Language Requirements:

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

The entry requirement for your course will be expressed as an IELTS level and refers to the IELTS Academic version of this test. We are now also accepting the IELTS Indicator test.

Entry levels are from IELTS 4.5 overall with 4.0 in all skills.

(UK) Full-time tuition fee: £9250

(UK) Part-time tuition fee: £1155 per single module

International / EU full time tuition fee: £14300

International / EU sandwich (placement) tuition fee: £1500
