Course Overview

Entry onto the Foundation in Clinical Sciences/Medicine course provides students a unique and exciting opportunity to study science and health in preparation for future applications to Medical School.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

typical offer - 104 UCAS tariff points.

A levels

To include at least two A-levels minimum grade C. No more than 12 points from Key Skills or any other scheme can count towards the total UCAS tariff points.

BTEC Extended Diploma

DMM. There are no specific subject requirements.

Applicants on Access Programmes

106 UCAS tariff points from an Access to Higher Education Diploma. There are no specific subject requirements.

International Baccalaureate requirements

104 UCAS tariff points to include 2 HL subjects at grade 5 plus HL 3 or SL 4 in Maths and English Language and Literature A or English B.

Plus minimum of

GCSE English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry (or Dual Award Science) at grade C or 4.

Additional entry requirements

As part of the selection process, short-listed candidates are invited to a Selection day prior to making offers.

English Language Requirements:

Minimum IELTS at 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each sub-test) or the equivalent.
