Course Overview

As part of our Advancing Practice in Health Framework, this award pathway will be of interest if you want to advance your practice in the area of dietetics. It is delivered online and available both full- and part-time. The dietetic award pathway is based on a model of collaborative multi-professional learning aligned to expectations of the four pillars of advanced practice (Clinical Practice, Leadership, Education and Research).

The dietetic pathway aims to foster and develop QMU’s mission of cultivating intellectual capital with both a theoretical and practical focus.

Learning and teaching are underpinned by research, evidence and scholarship against a background of the current and evolving political and social landscape for health and wellbeing. The dietetic pathway offers flexibility in modes of study (part-time, full-time, or workplace) that are responsive to individual needs and today’s culture of work and learning.

Entry Requirement 

Honours degree or equivalent in Dietetics

International: Where your honours degree has not been studied in English, you will be required to provide evidence of English language competence at no less than IELTS 6.5 with no individual component score less than 6.0.

Some modules require individuals to be working in the specific area of practice and/or have access to a suitable work place setting along with the support of a line manager and workplace mentor.

Fees

  • SCOT/UK/EU/International (Full-time):  £6600
  • SCOT/UK/EU/International (Part-time): £885 per 20 credit module
  • SCOT/UK/EU/International (Dissertation): £1320
