Course Overview

What you'll study?

There are four core modules, which include an extensive research project. If you are a part-time student, you will continue to study the second year from the modules listed below.

You will conduct a research project over the entire year of study whereby you will develop and submit work of publishable quality. You'll learn a strong complement of applied and research skills, balanced with how to communicate key information to relevant sport industry partners.

Develop your expertise within the area of performance analysis, which includes biomechanics, technique and motion analysis, and notational analysis. You will use technology and data to analyze performance to gain objective information in order to understand and improve tactics, techniques, and movement. The focus will be on systematic processes in order to gain quantifiable data and to develop skills to monitor and record sporting performances to enhance interventions within the coaching process, to improve athlete performance in training and competition environments.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

  • UK honors degree  (minimum 2.1) in a sport science-related subject including biology and biochemistry.
  • Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.
