Course Overview

Dietetics is a sequence in the Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics major. It’s also known as a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD).

Dietetics prepares you for internships and careers in the field. Jobs in dietetics promote optimal health by incorporating positive food choices and nutrition strategies to influence the overall well-being of individuals and communities.

Employment opportunities are diverse. The food processing industry is one of the largest in the US and throughout the world. Being trained in food service will give you many opportunities. Other employment options include:
