Course Overview

You'll learn how to harness the latest scientific and technological techniques to help prevent, solve and study crime.

You'll focus on the latest scientific and technological techniques, drawing on developments in the field of science and technology. You'll also get the skills you need to critically evaluate investigations, and choose from Core Subjects like Criminology and Cybercrime, and Specialist Options – including criminal intelligence, investigative intelligence strategies, and managing investigations – depending on your career goals.

You can choose to study either full or part-time. You can also choose to study on campus or through distance learning.

When you graduate, you'll have the knowledge and skills you need for a successful career in the investigation or intelligence work, in the public or private sectors. You'll also have an understanding of criminal justice issues and transferable skills which will support your career development.

Qualifications

  • A second-class honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. Exceptionally, applicants with strong and relevant work experience will be considered.

English Language Requirements

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 with no component score below 6.0.
