Course Overview

We are in the age of the data revolution. Economic analysts play a critical role in evidence-based decision making in multinational companies (MNCs) and governments or working as policy advisors.

As a student of our Economic Analysis programme, you will learn economic theory and tools of data analysis, with emphasis on economic policy analysis – all highly sought-after by employers. You can specialize as a firm and market analysis or macroeconomic analyst.

By the time you graduate you will be able to analyse complex economic situations. You will be adept at cultivating corporate and economic policy-making. You will provide high-quality analysis and aid decision making in any area of employment you pursue.

For admission onto the Economic Analysis programme, you will typically hold an economics, mathematics or finance degree, but students from other subjects are also welcome, if they have mathematical knowledge.

This programme may also be a good fit for you if you have a business-related academic background, such as Human Resources (HR), Management, Commerce, Marketing, Accounting, Tourism or Business Informatics (provided you meet the compulsory credit requirements stated below).
