Course Overview

 This programme offers a broad curriculum which focuses on solid theoretical core on evidence-based nursing science, as well as background knowledge and skills in teaching and learning which are required in nursing education. The Master of Nursing (Nursing Education) is ideal for practicing registered nurses, nursing educators and graduates with primary degress in nursing who wish to focus on a career in nursing education.

Entry Requirement 

Malaysian Applicants

  • A Bachelor Degree in Nursing with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and above from a recognised university
  • A Bachelor Degree in Nursing with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75 can be accepted subject to the faculty's rigorous internal assessment process
  • A Bachelor Degree in Nursing with CGPA less than 2.50, with a minimum of 5 years working experience may be considered
  • Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board and possess current practicing license; and
  • Possess post-basic certificate in any nursing specialty

International applicants :

  • A Bachelor Degree in Nursing from a recognised university and meets any other conditions stipulated by UNIMAS Senate;
  • Minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL equivalent
  • Proof of financial ability (i.e letter of guarantee / sponsorship / most recent financial statement from bank) to purpose studies and live in Malaysia for the duration of study
  • Has an international passport with at least two years validity and fulfills all immigration requirement
  • Has relevant post-basic nursing specialization and working experience;
  • Must obtain temporary practicing certificate for clinical posting.

Fees

Malaysian student RM 15500.00
International student RM 28520.00

Fees include administrative tuition and course materials for the duration of the programme. Further payment will be required if the students extend their studies.
