Course Overview

You will experience a broad range of projects which are designed to help you prepare for further study or employment. You will develop your independent creative thinking and learn to apply this across a range of disciplines. You will gain a broad understanding of the creative industries and the career paths across the sector.

You will be supported to develop a portfolio of work, ready for applications to undergraduate courses or creative roles.

This course is based in the School of Arts which is home to a range of specialist facilities including:

  • Printmaking workshops
  • Letterpress
  • Video editing
  • Photographic studios and darkrooms.

Introductory workshops across our facilities will provide you with a solid foundation in each medium. You will be taught by tutors and visiting lecturers who are practicing artists and designers.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirement:

6.5 overall with 6.0 in reading and writing, 5.5 in listening and speaking

English Language Requirements:

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

The entry requirement for your course will be expressed as an IELTS level and refers to the IELTS Academic version of this test. We are now also accepting the IELTS Indicator test.

Entry levels are from IELTS 4.5 overall with 4.0 in all skills.
